Vivint Solar Senior Tax Accountant
Vivint Solar is looking for an ambitious Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Lehi, Utah. We are looking for problem solvers, self-motivators, and action oriented thinkers. We are looking for a tax accountant that is ready to jump in and help our fast growing business grow even faster.
The Senior Tax Accountant will assist with the various responsibilities and deliverables of all of the Company's various tax filings, but will be primarily focused on indirect taxes.

Responsibilities:
Compiles data and creates documentation to assist with state and local sales and use tax compliance and other special projects
Coordinates the preparation and filing of state and local sales and use tax and property tax returns, transaction tax returns, and related schedules
Reviews state and local sales and use tax and property tax returns
Assists with sales and use tax and property tax research and planning
Provides assistance on sales and use tax related audits
Calculates and prepares monthly sales and use tax accruals
Reconciles tax-related general ledger accounts
Coordinates maintenance of exemption/resale certificates and other pertinent records
Ensures compliance with state and local tax laws and regulations, especially as the Company enters into new jurisdictions
Monitors and adapts to changes in tax laws and effectively communicates the impacts to management
Identifies opportunities for increased efficiencies and accuracy
As needed, assists management with other tax reporting and compliance projects, including: payroll tax filings, corporate and tax equity income tax filings, corporate income tax provision, and tax footnotes and disclosures in connection with the Company's SEC reporting
Required Skills
Strong technical tax knowledge
Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Quick learner and able to work independently
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) with
Experience with sales tax software (_e.g._, Vertex) and Great Plains accounting systems is a plus, but not required
Required Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, though a Master's degree in accounting or MBA with an emphasis in Tax would be preferable
Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience, preferably with some in a public reporting entity
Maintains an active CPA licenseEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
