Product Technical Designer/Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as technical partner with Product and Design teams
Compile product/program technical specifications used for quoting, sampling, QC and logistics
Approve samples (pre-production and production)
Oversee and ensure product compliance
Work with QC to make sure final product meets specification and must be familiar with being compliant.
DETAILED ACCOUNTABILTIES
Develop guidelines for specifications
Develop/review/communicate product, packaging, and display specifications
Prepare proper documentation for specifications and sample/product evaluation
Review QC issues and work with Product and Design teams to improve/fix issues
Identify and manage compliance to regulations (Federal, State, etc.)
Identify and manage customer compliance requirements
Submit/manage product test requests (BV, CTL, GMI, etc.)
Review/manage product test reports and work with Product and Design teams to rectify issues
Oversee and manage MSDS binder and customer specification requests
Work with Logistics to identify product HTS codes to determine duty/tariff rates
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
College Degree in related field
Minimum 1-3 years of Technical Design
Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Illustrator
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to clearly and concisely communicate specifications for Product Team, Design Team, and manufacturers
OTHER SKILLS
Proven organizational skills
Highly detailed and results oriented
Knowledge of consumer products/packaging/displays
Ability to work independently and be accountable for scope of work

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
