During the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) from October 15th to December 7th, all Medicare eligible beneficiaries may compare options and select plans for the following year.
During this is a time when we come together as a team, often working long hours (with paid overtime), to help members find the right health coverage.
Through the rest of the year, we spend time with our members helping them activate their benefits, providing guidance in accessing healthcare services, and continuing to enroll eligible beneficiaries in plans.

What you will do As expert Keen Advisors, our members trust you when making complicated insurance decisions.
Your core responsibilities will be to:
Become an expert in how Medicare insurance works, including plans and benefits Help older Americans select and enroll in Medicare plans in a highly empathetic and ethical manner, always putting the member's interests first Answer inbound calls, engage with individuals looking for assistance with their health insurance and address their questions and concerns Spend time on the phone to establish member relationships, understand their unique needs, and offer tailored insurance solutions When needed, also assist caregivers in navigating the Medicare process for their loved ones Leverage technology provided by Keen to assist members across all parts of their health insurance journey Work to achieve individual and group enrollment targets and performance metrics.
Learn and utilize effective selling skills to match customer needs to solutions, and create positive outcomes for consumers Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your skills.
Adapt and execute on sales strategies based on feedback and coaching Helping to build and grow the Keen organization.

Required Enjoy the learning process including studying and taking multiple exams and online training courses Are comfortable with being on the phone building relationships and helping people you have never met before Are happy to help individuals who are facing difficult situations with their health insurance and may be upset Have access to a separate, closed-door home office (or equivalent) where you can work and speak on the phone uninterrupted 8-10 hours a day (and be on camera for meetings), with high speed, reliable internet Are generally technologically savvy (comfortable and have experience using CRM systems and computer apps as core parts of your work duties) Have strong attention to detail Are willing to travel to company offsites approximately 1-2x per year (for which the Company covers travel expenses) Have a minimum of an Associate's degree (or equivalent 2 year collegiate-level program) Nice-to-have Bachelor's degree Startup experience Sales experience Who you are Enjoy taking time with customers who may feel nervous or unsure.

The typical steps are as follows:
Submit application Personality survey to get to know you better (5-10 mins) Recorded video interview (20-30 mins) Live interview / role play / case study with VP of Sales Offer / background check Compensation Unlike many insurance agencies, we provide competitive and fair year-round compensation and skill-based growth opportunities.
In addition, while most insurance agencies require you to pay to get your credentials before you can even start, we invest in our people getting their credentials, covering all study courses, state licensing fees, and appointment fees.
During your initial trial period you will be expected to study for and obtain your home state license, and other state licenses as directed, successfully complete industry (AHIP) certification, contract and certify with insurance carriers as directed, learn the Keen tools and sales process, and complete your first 10 Medicare enrollments.
After completion of the trial period, your hourly compensation will increase to $21.
63 / hour (equivalent to $45,000 / year or more ), from $14.
50 / hour during the trial period.
Additional opportunities for skill-based compensation increases will be available after your first AEP cycle.
Note:
new hires are expected to have passed their state licensing test within the first ten (10) business days of their employment, and to stay on track to complete their initial trial period activities as directed.
Other compensation and benefits details currently include:
Hourly full time, remote role with a competitive hourly rate to provide a stable income all year round and opportunity to earn additional income during AEP Expectation of 40 hours worked per week Above 40 hours is subject to pre-approval and is paid at overtime (OT) at time and a half (1.
5x) Up to 60 hours total may be approved during AEP Time off 2 weeks PTO accrued per year (accrues by pay period and available for use as accrued, prorated for any partial period) Unused PTO days roll over to the following year, up to a max of 6 weeks rollover PTO No PTO will be approved during AEP 10 paid Company holidays 5 sick days per year Opportunity for ownership in Keen in the form of stock options in the Company's sole discretion upon meeting requirements Health, Dental, Vision coverage options available after i) completing the initial trial period requirements and ii) 60 days of employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
