Change Communications Manager:
The Change Communications Manager will leverage communications as a key leadership tool to driving culture, engagement, and positive change.
They will work with Change Management leadership to create and execute key communications and engagement strategies, ensuring that all communication is in alignment with program and project goals and that there is a consistency of messaging across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and business-oriented professional who thrives in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team environment and is able to create communications that are appropriate for different audiences, that drive clarity, and which tell a story which inspires employees and encourages them to adopt new behaviors.
Over the next 2 1/2 years, BYU will implement new technologies and processes to support the HR, finance, student, and operational needs of the university.
We are looking for a Change Communications Manager to join our Change Management team and help students, faculty, and staff adopt and integrate these changes into their daily activities with the least operational and customer frustration possible.
This is a temporary position lasting up to 2 1/2 years.
What you'll do in this position:
Design, Develop and Deliver Program and Project Communications Plan and deliver creative, engaging change-focused articles and other communications in line with agreed strategies for designated projects, as well as overarching program communications strategies.
Ensure customer satisfaction of internal project stakeholders through effective client management, timely delivery of work, and feedback loop.
Develop and deliver high-quality, written content for internal and external audiences, in support of agreed initiatives.
Use storytelling to inspire employees to positively embrace change and adopt new behaviors.
Provide Strategic Communications Leadership Develop and deliver change communications strategies and plans.
Partner with the Change Management Lead, Project Lead and Program leadership to ensure alignment with program and project goals.
Understand the business challenges and opportunities of both the program and each change project and translate needs into impactful communications solutions.
Recommend adjustments to communication strategy and business processes as needed.
Mentor student employees who are working on the project.
Provide Engagement Leadership and Support Design, develop, and deliver communications to foster stakeholder engagement.
Design, develop, and manage program stakeholder recognition program.
Develop and enable effective deployment of stakeholder engagement maps and plans.
Student mentorship and supervision What qualifies you for this role:
Required:
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business or a related field from an accredited university or college AND 2 years communication experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Master's degree in organizational development, communications, or related field, and experience working in the higher education industry.

years communications experience; with focus on enterprise-wide change and transformation efforts.
Experience creating change management communications.
