Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative

Job Description
Work with clients and carriers to move freight throughout North America in a safe, secure and timely manner.
Responsibilities
-Work individually and with a team to plan and execute local P/D and line-haul activity of FTL and LTL freight.
-Quote clients and keep them appraised of the activity of their freight.
-Negotiate transportation rates on a per-load basis with independent carriers.
-Maintain a current knowledge of the activities of all freight under the employees supervision keep current and detailed electronic records.
-File, track and finalize claims for lost, pilfered or damaged freight.
-Make arrangements for supplemental pickup and/or delivery services at the request of the client.
Qualifications
-The successful candidate will possess a minimum of two years of freight dispatch and customer service experience. A four year degree with an emphasis in logistics or supply chain management and relevant experience may be considered in lieu.
-Good communications skills.
-Ability to work alone and with a team.
-Congenial but authoritative demeanor when communicating over the telephone and through email.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
-Knowledge of Freight Management Systems software is a plus.
-Basic knowledge of North American geography.
-Attentiveness to detail, time management and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
-Applicants with an established client base are strongly preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
