Metadata Technical Services Specialist
We are looking for a Technical Services specialist for the Metadata Services Department in Provo Utah.
This is a fulltime position hoursweek in the Programming and IT Department.
The Technical Services operator will be the liaison between the Metadata and the Programming and IT teams.
Their primary duties will include running programsprocesses for pre and postproduction scanning cards working with XML metadata acting as the department Nolan script and macro guru as well as help in other ways as needed by the Programming and IT department and the project managers in Metadata Services.
They will take the lead in preparing Metadata Services for a post MARC production environment and will learn about and prepare the department for work in BIBFRAME.
Aid the Project Managers on pre and postproduction processes and procedures for every project includes learning the processes for each project and keeping track of any changes.
Be familiar with all of the standard production processes and workflow for cataloging reclass and recon Learn how to use the TS tools and how to apply them Learn how to create edit use XML and validate XML documents Working with Metadata and Programming departments identify other possible tools that could be created to automate pre and postproduction processes Work with PMs to create scripts and macros for every stage of production as needed Communicate with the PMs daily concerning completion of tasks Learn the technical needs of the Metadata services department and meet regularly with Tech Services department to communicate those needs Create and maintain FTP access for clients Become a BIBFRAME guru This position pays per hour based on experience Health insurance benefits and k matching are available two calendar months after date of hire.
This position will require a fulltime presence in our Provo Utah office.
There is no relocation assistance for the position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
